eNeighbor® Package Comparison Chart
The following table describes the four basic packages of eNeighbor® systems as well as optional sensors that may be combined with the packages. Packages can be customized to fit the size of your facilities and the needs of your residents.
|
eNeighbor® PERs
|
The Personal Emergency Response system is usually used in private residences to call for assistance via a wireless pendant, pull cord or call button. The calls are usually routed to the Healthsense response center, which follows a predefined call protocol to bring assistance. |
The PERs system is often the first system installed in the home and can be upgraded to include any of the other eNeighbor functions as needs may change. |
| eNeighbor® Wi-Fi Wireless Nurse Call |
The Wi-Fi Wireless Nurse Call system is used by residents in congregate living settings to call for assistance. The onsite staff are usually the main responders and receive alerts via Wi-Fi phones, cell phones or the wired phone system. |
The Wi-Fi Nurse Call system is usually the first part of a Healthsense integrated solution. The Wi-Fi infrastructure installed for the eNeighbor Wi-Fi Nurse Call also supports mobile devices, resident access, and the other eNeighbor systems. |
| eNeighbor® Remote Monitoring |
The Remote Monitoring system provides automatic detection of a need for assistance and alerts specific to needs and risk factors for the individual. For example, a bed monitor to alert staff if the individual is a high fall risk. Remote monitoring is used in Home & Community based care, independently congregate living, assisted living and in skilled nursing. The same system and technology is used in all of these applications, but configured to the specific care setting and need. The Remote Monitoring system also provides alerts related to significant changes in activities of daily living. For example, someone has had a significant change in sleeping, eating or toileting. These early indicators are used by caregivers for early interventions. The Remote Monitoring system can also provide reminder prompts to individuals. Using this feature a model of the behavior being monitored or reminded can be created and updated at anytime. |
Either the PERs or Wi-Fi Nurse Call system can be easily upgrade to included the needed resident monitors. A wide range of sensors is available to monitor activities of daily living. The Remote monitoring system can also incorporate various biometric measurement devices, such as, a scale, blood pressure or pulse oximeter. The Remote monitoring can OPTIONALLY include the use of a network cameras with intercom when needed for specific situation. For example, a resident has just returned from the hospital and family members are remote. |
| eNeighbor® Telehealth |
The biometric system adds the capability to remotely collect weight, blood pressure and other physiological measurements. These biometric device readings can be combined with the resident monitoring feature to provide reminder prompts for taking measurements. |
The telehealth system can be used standard alone or combined with remote monitoring, PERs, or Wi-Fi Nurse Call systems. |
| Healthsense® Integrated Solution |
The Healthsense Integrated Solutions provides care providers with a turn key technology solution for their long-term care facility. The Healthsense Integrated solution starts with the design of a campus wide Wi-Fi system using state of the art design tools to assure wireless network coverage across the entire facility for Wi-Fi phones, mobile computers, eNeighbor Wi-Fi Nurse Call, eNeighbor® Remote Monitoring, eNeighbor® Telehealth, Network Cameras and various access control solutions. The Healthsense provides the complete services from the requirements assessment, design, implementation, validation and training phase. In addition, Healthsense provides continuous system supervision of the core network and eNeighbor system infrastructure. |
The Healthsense Integrated Solution provides long term care providers with the technology infrastructure required or future of aging services technology, as outlined in the technology roadmap below.
